Montreal Fashion Week 2026

Historical site Marguerite-Bourgeoys

On September 22, 2026, let yourself be enchanted by a unique exhibition-performance co-organized and presented by the Site historique Marguerite-Bourgeoys and Maison Saint-Gabriel, in collaboration with Fibreshed Québec and numerous artists and artisans.

Set within the Notre-Dame-de-Bon-Secours Chapel and beneath its vaulted ceiling, sway to the rhythm of contemporary organ music and enjoy an exclusive sensory experience:

Live demonstrations: Meet the artisans and discover the secrets behind the traditional processing of select natural fibers;

Hidden treasures: Admire textile artifacts—including embroidery crafted by the recluse Jeanne Le Ber—and rare 18th- and 19th-century garments, exceptionally brought out from the museum vaults for this occasion;

Contemporary creations: Get a sneak peek of contemporary clothing designs inspired by New France and Acadia (a preview of the exhibition Legs et possibilités [Legacies and Possibilities], which will subsequently be presented at the Musée acadien du Québec).

This event will also celebrate the rich heritage of the Congrégation de Notre-Dame and provide an opportunity to unveil the community-driven Patrimoine tricoté project, organized by Maison Saint-Gabriel’s community outreach program.
