LA DOT - LES GARÇONS À MARIER

Maison Nivard-De Saint-Dizier, museum and archeological site

With La Dot, a show directed by Delphine Veronneau, Garçons à marier invites the audience to delve into the heart of Lanaudière and Quebec’s cultural roots. Based on the album of the same name, this show features an original repertoire, partly collected by singer and accordionist Philippe Jetté. Through songs, trills, instrumental pieces, and delightful anecdotes, the trio—rounded out by violinist Gabriel Girouard and banjoist and guitarist Jean Desrochers—brings Quebec’s living heritage to life in a reinterpretation that is both authentic and resolutely contemporary. Carried by refined acoustic arrangements, three harmonious voices interact with the violin, diatonic accordion, guitar, banjo, jaw harp, and foot percussion. A warm, festive immersion proudly rooted in our land. Step into the unique world of Les Garçons à marier!
