29 museums, including two new members of the Board (Cité historia, musée d’histoire du Sault-au-Récollet and the Darling Foundry) opened their doors on Sunday, May 25, 2008 – 135,000 recorded visits!
“This is a clear sign that the museums can be a major draw for the citizens of Montréal, and even for people from outside our city,” said Manon Blanchette, Executive Director of the Board of Montréal Museum Directors (BMMD), the day after this exceptionally successful ‘open house,’ presented for the fifth year in a row by Quebecor in collaboration with the Société de transport de Montréal (STM).
