Finalist for the Prix Ulysse from Tourisme Montréal in the category of festivals and tourist events with a budget of $1 million or more at the regional edition of the Grands Prix du Tourisme québécois 2008.
Montréal Museums Day, one of the biggest public events on the city’s cultural scene, took on a tourist-friendly twist in partnership with Tourisme Montréal and Via Rail Canada, creating an exclusive deal for tourists and day trippers. A pass valid for the Saturday before Montréal Museums Day was given to every person who purchased a ‘Sweet deal’ from Tourisme Montréal during Montréal Museums Day weekend. Via Rail Canada also offered reduced fare on train tickets for that same weekend. This approach earned the Board of Montréal Museum Directors a place among the finalists.
