Guided tour from the cellar to the attic IN ENGLISH (Summer season)
Your guide, dressed in period costume, welcomes you into this historic farmhouse and invites you to step back in time to discover the daily lives of those who once called it home. Acquired by Marguerite Bourgeoys in 1668, the farmhouse welcomed the Filles du Roi and now stands as a testament to Montreal’s rich rural heritage, spanning from the 17th to the 20th century.
As you explore each room, the historic artifacts and your guide's stories will bring the house to life, as though its former residents had only just left. Discover the story of the pioneering women of Ville-Marie and immerse yourself in the journey of the Filles du Roi (the King's Wards), the métayères (farming sisters) provided food and support for the teaching sisters of the Congregation of Notre-Dame for nearly three centuries.
